The Yemeni Initiative for Peace and Development participated today in the Bologna International Peacebuilding Forum 2026, held in the Italian city of Bologna under the theme: “Ending Wars.. Charting New Paths Toward Peace.”
Representing the Initiative at the forum were Noah Al-Jasari, Secretary-General of the Initiative, Dr Adel Al-Shojaa, Head of the Editorial Board, and Wisam Al-Jasari.
The forum, which runs for three days, brings together a distinguished group of representatives from international organizations, academic and research institutions, diplomats, peacebuilding practitioners, and experts in mediation, conflict prevention, development, and human rights. It also hosts researchers and students from a range of international institutions to exchange perspectives on contemporary conflicts and sustainable peacebuilding efforts.
The Initiative’s participation comes as part of its broader efforts to strengthen the international visibility of the Yemeni issue and to present the outcomes of the Salzburg Conference for Peace and Development in Yemen to a wider global audience. The forum also provides an opportunity to explore new avenues for dialogue, cooperation, and partnership with international actors engaged in peacebuilding and development initiatives.
The Yemeni Initiative for Peace and Development affirmed that participation in international forums of this nature is essential to expanding constructive engagement with global institutions and experts, while supporting efforts aimed at advancing a just, inclusive, and sustainable peace process in Yemen.
